Ralph Korte Stadium
Ralph Korte Stadium at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is the premier outdoor athletics venue for Cougar soccer, track and field, and major campus events. Opened in 1994 to host the U.S. Olympic Festival, the stadium is named in honor of SIUE alumnus, construction innovator, philanthropist, and founder of The Korte Company, Ralph Korte. A 1968 graduate of SIUE, Korte became a nationally recognized leader in the design-build construction industry and a generous supporter of the university. The facility features a championship-caliber track, soccer field, grandstand seating, and support amenities, and has hosted numerous conference championships, NCAA competitions, and regional athletic events throughout its history.
